For some reason, I cannot get Shift-Click to work in Access 2010.

Originally, I put in a shift-click disable module to prevent tampering with the database, and had a secret button to click to disable the module, so I could still work in the database.

Well, that secret button decided it didn't want to work in 2010, so I opened the file back in 2003, deleted the secret button, and deleted the shift-click disable module.

When I open the database back in 2010, shift-click still won't open the database up. I've confirmed that it works in 2003; I just need it in 2010 now.

The database is attached if anyone has an idea.

Thanks,

Deleting the module won't do anything, because the module sets a property in Access. You need to change the value of that property. Deleting the module does not change anything. The first thing you need to do is gain control of your db again. Create a blank db and import all objects from your problem db. That should let you use the shift bypass again. Now you need to fix the original issue. A secret button is probably not the best way to control such an important value. Maybe you should provide an admin login form. If the db admin password is entered, then certain things can be changed, like the shift bypass. Maybe Aphrodite can help you here. Look for my post in the sample db if you want to see it.

Where would I go to change this property?

It's strange. Shift-Click works fine on the database I provided in Access 2003 but does not in 2010. Is there something new in 2010 that I'm missing?

The shift bypass is changed programmatically, there is no user interface to change it's value. But if you make a blank db and import all of your objects, you could get the same effect.
