This is a new one for me.

I have a form with 4 tabs [Access 2003].

The first two pages contain historical data about companies, filled with queries.

The 3rd and 4th pages contain some derived data, some compiled data and some massaged data, mostly from the first two tabs.

The 3rd and 4th tab data fields 'jump' or 'shimmer' or 'vibrate' if you move the mouse across fixed-text labels on those tabs. If the mouse is still everything is normal. If you move it from one spot to another everything is fine, too. But if your user is one who moves the mouse constantly when they are reviewing/validating data on the last two tabs it will nearly make you nauseous.

Has anyone else ever seen this?

I am absolutely baffled.

Hoping someone else has experienced this and found a solution!

Thanks,
Dave

Bob Larsen and I were helping someone out a couple nights ago with this. I've actually heard of something else like that which might be a bug.

In the case the other night, on 3 different user's computers we got 3 different symptoms.

In my case, I changed the background color and it went away. In another user's case, he removed an option frame and it changed his symptoms.

Maybe Bob'll kick in here and give us more info.

yeah, i found this to be a bug with lables.. one way to fix it is convert the lables to text boxes. disable them and change the background color to make them look like lables.

Well dang!
Thanks for the input and the link :)
That gives me the info I needed for the fix.
Funny I haven't seen this before after 15 years of code- guess I have just been lucky until now.
Thanks again!
Dave

Well, SP3, that caused the problem, just came out late in 2007, I think it was. The hotfix, if I remember, was issued in 12/07.
