Hi, I have made a Childminding Booking System and one of the features is that the user can find a booking record by chosing a Child's Name, then a date, from two combo boxes which are both on the same form. (The select child combo box comes first, then below it is the date combo box. )They then click a button which runs a macro and displays the results.

The problem I have is that the drop down box containing the list of dates displays every booking date, rather than the ones relating to the child selected in the Child combo box.

I hope this makes sense. thanks a lot for the help

Hi, the link does not work, I tried looking up the requery function in Access but I am still unsure how to use it in my situation. Do you have any ideas?

thanks

I'm not sure of the link that Jack's referring to - I'll leave that for him to amend, but in the meantime, when I've used cascading combo boxes, I put:

Me.NextComboBox.Requery

on the AfterUpdate event of the one you've just updated, so in your case that would probably be the Child's name combo.

Did you set the criteria in the second combo's underlying query to reference the first combo?
