show begindate and enddate in page footer (1 Viewer)

i have a report heading that states the begin dates and end dates for the report. It shows up fine in the header, but when i want to put in the page footer, the dates don't show up. i tried copying and pasting the field from the header, but still doesn't work. it just shows "For transaction between" and no dates.

what am i doing wrong?

You will have to supply some code before a reader can understand your problem. Are you getting the beginning and ending dates from a form, from calculated fields in a query, from a lookup, or how?
