Simple Sum

I have a report based on a query that gives the User "gallons used per day", I'm trying to add a field that totals the gallons used...report looks similiar to this:

Date Gallons Used
12/15/03 1000
12/16/03 2000
12/17/03 3000

The Gallons used field name is fld_GallonsUsed

In the report footer I added a text box with a sum statement in the control source:
=Sum([fld_GallonsUsed]) and also tried =Sum([GallonsUsed])

In the properties box @"Running Sum", I've tried "No" "Over Group" and "Over All"

I'm getting a "#error" for the value when the report is ran...

any suggestions?

Got It

Was adding to the Pager Footer instead of the Report Footer.
