Hi :) I have a back end DB on a server and front end DBs on several computers on the local network. For users using these computers, everything is OK. However, there's one user connected to the local network through a VPN connection and it's very slow.

Anyone has suggestions to improve the speed of that DB ?

Thanks :)

Something more simple ?

Put it on a terminal server. Use Citrix, logmein.com, gotomypc.com, or VNC.

Thanks for your quick answer.

As a last solution, it would be good, but is there something more simple not for me, but for the end user (a way to optimize the Access DB connection for example) ?

I too have users over a VPN and sadly I've yet to find a way to optimize the connection. Access over a network is always slower than a locally hosted application, however VPN are also encrypting all traffic on one end and decrypting them on the other, this is bound to slow things down even more. It all comes down to speed vs security.

Did I mention using a terminal server? Serves up the changes in screen images pretty fast.
