Snap to Grid

Dear colleagues,
I cannot move a field to make room for spacing. I tried to turn off Snap Grid and it still will not work My fields are fixed in place. How could I change this. Thanks.

Presuming you have 2007 or 2010, highlight the control(s), right-click and select Layout/Remove.

What if the "Remove Layout" is greyed out?

I would assume that means there is none to remove.

OK but it will still not allow me to place things where I want them. They snap back to wherever the program wants to put it although the snap to grid is off.

Did you select one or more of the affected controls before trying to remove the layout?

Only 1 - I did find a work around to get me through this design but I would love to know what to do when I get this in the future. I really appreciate your time!

I'm not sure. I've always been able to select all the controls in the detail section (in design view) and right-click, Layout/Remove.

I too, found that the toggle button under "Size/Space" did not work. I did find, however, that under "Align" you can select to un-snap and it works.
