I am building a "rolling slideshow" to be displayed on a big screen television. The show includes a number of graphs, freshened systemically at a timed interval and exported as GIF's. The GIFs are displayed via an unbound graphic object on the "stage" form, fed by a table of records containing pointers to the actual .gif or .png files. It's kinda cool- swaps out to the next graph every 30 seconds.

The problem, however, is that one source for the images is an MS-Access snapfile. I am finding that when it's time to setvalue the unbound control to point to say, C:\image07.snp, it does not support a .snp file!!! I can display .gif, .bmp, .jpg, and .png, but not .snp. Sheesh!

Does anyone know of an add-in .dll or other solution that will enable .snp files to display as a graphic in an unbound object on an MS-Access form! I gotta tell ya, I'm stunned that .snp does not seem to be supported as a graphic format... in MS-Access!!! Thanks -SLH

Interesting, I use a lot of .snp charts and reports to both print and e-mail. Well, I think what you are looking for resides in an API procedure. That stuff is increditable, I am not sure but I think it even severs coffee. I don't know API, the only time I used it was in a dbase where I was picking up a report in one format and viewing it and then picking up a drawing and spining it and viewing it, which was in a different format all together. Wild stuff, a British guy named Bill over on Tek-Tips.com help me write that and he was real good at it. hth.
