How about this: I didn't have to go to work today because some snow fell earlier. It's result was the worst traffic in Holland ever!

And with a few inches of snow on the ground there are less trains because of infrastructure problems that apparently can't be resolved.

I was born and raised in Holland and I remember the big snow storm of 1979.

Fortunately I now live in part of the world were I don't have to deal with it.

Snow in Arizona is actually very common, especially in the northern part where heavy snow storms can be vicious

A few years ago there was some in Bisbee and Tombstone, almost on the Mexican border. From where I live now I can see some on a mountain top. As long as it stays there I'm fine.

I lived in Ontario Canada for a while, I had to shuffle snow for 6 months. I have see enough of it.

Snow just makes everything pretty and fun - seriously look at childrens reactions to a "snow day" - then just apply the same attitude to yourself, take the day off and go build a fort, throw snow balls at the neighbours, make 'angels' in the snow, build a snowman and cap off the day with a big mug of cocoa!

For what it's worth: I think Ontario is beautiful, I'm just not fond of the climate. I lived in Kingston and I loved the place. And the country side is gorgeous too.

What is snow? Huh? It's 82°F right now. :D

I might go to the beach.

Lucky you, only 52 in Phoenix.
We'll remember these days once it hits 110 again in July.

It's going to be 39°c here today, and in some places in Central Australia it been up in the high forties

Considering the season difference! lol

It's dipping back to 60 high by this weekend in North Florida. Florida winters just don't typically exist. I remember the first year I moved to Florida in 1989. I was 8 years old. It snowed, the last time it really did so! We actually had enough snow for a snowball fight. All of the schools closed and the streets were locked down. I didn't understand. I walked to school in snow over my head in Wisconsin. LOL

I live in the central valley of California. Apparently about every 20 years they get snow here (1-2 inches). I came from Missouri, we normally got several inches each winter. I lived in the foothills of California for a number of years, rarely had to shovel. Did have put on snow chains or shift into four wheel drive occasionally.

Last summer the hottest day here was 47 Celsius. We would have loved to able to roll in the snow that day.
