And what gives you the impression I'll be logged on tomor...er, today?

Report totalling problem:)

Got a cracker of a problem here... Morning by the way:)

right I have report called Weekly DFL report... basically kids start of with a total of 20 points which is held in tblTotalDfl for every DFL slip issued they lose/gain points... the max points they can have is 20 the least they can have is 0.

The problem I have is the day colums are correct and show points lost/gained, but the 'Total Points Lost this week' should calculate the total amount of points deducted (but not include any gained points)

The Total Points is correct:) I have tried to get rid of points added in the 'total points lost this week' but this then effects the day columns and I lose the points gained there.......

If that werent difficult enough..... If a kid goes into Time Out they get 20 points back.. which works fine until I get dfls late in and these start deducting from the 20... which it shouldnt do... if the dfl date is before the Time out date??

Any pearls of wisdom for me???

Yes, start this on a new thread - it's a completely different problem from the bulk of this thread.

BIG PROBLEM
If that werent difficult enough..... If a kid goes into Time Out they get 20 points back.. which works fine until I get dfls late say a week late in for students and these start deducting from the 20 they have just been given back... which it shouldnt do... if the dfl date is before the Time out date??

Any pearls of wisdom for me???

Is this Groundhog day?

Looks like it - did I hear "I got you babe" on the clock radio this morning?

Mile-O-Phile, I am sorry for such a basic question but I dont understand the parts about GetBankHoliday?

I am trying to modify this to do the following, enter an End Date and number or work days to come up with Start Date, I have a table of holidays to be excluded.

Any help would be apreciated.

What exactly do you not get?

I'd suggest removing them anyway as they are British Public Holidays and not likely to affect you.

Some of these, however, might.

Mile-O-Phile

I have been able to remove the Bank Holidays parts of your code, but now I can't figure out what part to change in order to calculate a start date instead of end date?

Example:

I have product which takes 10 work days to build, I want it completed on 1/31/04 what day should I start work on the product?

Thanks
