Sorting A Table

Hi,
I am trying to sort a table I have in access. However, every time I sort, I keep getting an error saying "type mismatch in expression" -- What does this mean? It's not allowing me to sort any field.

Bit more detail?? your sort is by way of a query with an expression?
What field are you sorting on?

Can you open the table in Datasheet view and use the sort buttons on your menu?

Can you do a select query of all fields and sort on different fields ?
