Hi guys, I just found this site and I am impressed with the wealth of information. Hopefully you can help me with my problem.

I have created a report and on a section of the report there are a few dollar fields (10) listed and then totaled at the bottom. Specifically they are benefit information. It kind of looks like this:

Dental $50
Medical $0
Vision $100

Total $150

Well what I want to do is sort the fields by their cost, so it would order them like Vision, Dental, then Medical.
But, Since medical is $0 i don't want it to show up. It would be nice if i could move the total up too so it doesn't show the gap where medical was.

I'm not really sure how to do this, hopefully someone here can help me. Thanks in Advance.

adjust the query which is getting the data for the report to not get any 0 values....

I should also say that each page of the report is pulled from just one record from a table. It starts off with their name at the top, then opening paragraph and then a summary of their benefits.

I don't want it to show the $0 dollar amount, but i don't want it to show the label "Medical" either.

Thanks for your help Pat. One more little questions, If i have a section called medical_header, How could i make that visible/invisible using the code? I want to se it in the same place i make the fields visible/invisible.

Nevermind, just figured it out, I must have had a typo in there before.

I've found this thread very useful and am using the above code to show and hide my report textboxes when needed however I have 7 different items that can be shown or hidden which have identical properties, they also have the same code hiding them as necessary and the shrink/grow options are all set to yes.

However, out of the 7 items only 4 of them work. The other three hide themselves when required but don't shrink leaving a gap in the report which i don't want. I can't see any difference between any of the 7 yet these 3 refuse to behave.

any thoughts????
