I want to sound a short sound (something like a beep) even on a PC without Speaker. It is possible in DOS using ascii value 7 ? How do i do it ? docmd.beep doesn't work.

Docmd.beep should work, check if your speekers arent disabled or the volume set to mute or 0 or something....

Well it's not simple as it sounds. After a lot of banging my head on a wall, i have been able to deduct that

For a PC with a sound card and no speakers, docmd.beep or the beep API function goes thru the sound card and gets lost (there is no sound as there are no speakers) whereas DOS uses the PC speaker.
So, right now there doesn't seem to be any solution to it.
