I would like to use speech recognition to enter data on a form, but I can't get it to work. I can use it to enter data in Word and then copy and paste it to a field in the form, but I cannot get it to enter text directly into a field.

Has anyone succeeded? If so, how?

A few more detail would help:

What operating system are you using?

What version of Access are you using?

What speech recognition software are you using?

I am using Windows Vista home premium, Access 2007, and the speech recognition software that is accessed via the Vista control panel.

Unfortunately i have XP Pro and Access 2003.

I will try it with MS Speech To Text recognition and 2003 and let you know if it works.

The Vista speech recognition should work in Access 2007. However, it is much better in Windows 7.

I can use speech recognition for typing individual characters but not for dictation into a text field. I am using it to dictate this message, so it works here.

So what is the answer? I have Win 7, MS ACCESS 2010 and I have activated the speech recognition, but can't figure out how to get text into a text box control.
