Hello,
I’m new in this forum. Any help is appreciated in the fallowing topic:
I’m using an Access (2002) database for handling my company’s administration. There is a network with 5 PC in our office. One of the PCs has all the tables that the whole system uses. On each PC an Access runs with different database: storage, invoicing, purchase, service, projects. All these databases use linked tables to the first PC with the tables.
The system has been working with a great beneficial to us but there is one problem that I can’t solve: it is too slow. Though the tables are not big (largest is approx. 3000 records with 20 fields/record) it frequently takes 10-50 sec to open a form.
The local network works fine.
When – during the development – all databases and tables are on the same PC there is no any time delay.
Please help with some info which way I could improve the performance.
Thanks is advance
Peter
