Dear experts,

I am trying to breakdown (split) a database on an online storage/website folder. Database has been designed in Access 2007. I spent a lot of time in doing and creating online storage, but all I get is different messages i.e. "invalid path" or "access is denied".

Would you kindly share your successful experience in splitting a database on an online folder or storage?

I have already done it on local network within an office but I want to do it on a globally accessible internet based folder or storage.

Much appreciate your help.

Regards,
Dad

You cannot do this by simply putting the Access back-end database file saved to a website. It is possible to export your tables to a SharePoint website as "lists" and have your Access front-end linked to these SharePoint tables.

You can also establish links to tables in other databases such as SQL server, or Oracle using an ODBC connection.

Other options are:

Terminal Server
ASP.Net
Sequel Server Forms and Reports
mySql
