I can just see them moaning now.

I've compact and repaired the db - i've analyzed performance and it says it doesn't have any suggestions to improve anything. But it takes a few seconds to open some forms or perform some queries.

I'm testing it at home on 2 networked pc's, there will be 4 (max 5) computers running the system when it goes live.

I need to have all the queries that are currently being used in the forms - is there anything i can do to speed it up? Cheers

Edd

Convert your queries to VBA code. This will speed up any queries you have to run ten fold!:)

Converting Queries to VB Code will not necessarily speed up the process. You state that it takes a few seconds for the forms to open, is there code running on the On Current or On Open events of the forms? If so, what is the code?

In addition to the advice given try including where clauses in your form queries to narrow dow returned records to the forms, thereby reducing network traffic. Also of note* if possible upsize be to a larger RDBMS like SQL Server or Oracle (this will definitley improve performance...
