I hope someone can help me on this. I found the attached sample but unfortunately i can't remember where :( . What I need is a small improvment at this helpful sample. As u can see when someone selects "AllSalesmen" a report is being created. I wonder if there is a way this big report to be splited in many others (one for every salesman) and then email each report to a specific person. Well I hope it's not so difficult and apologies that I can't remember to mention the place I found this sample.

I had alook at this, but couldn't open the attachment, but I'm using Access 2000 - was it created in a later version?

I suspect that the modification would be to use a loop on each salesperson and then filter the report based on that. Each report can then be individually mailed through whatever means is being used.

It's a 2003 format. I just thought if there was an easier way to create and save separately all reports at once that person by person. It's an interesting sample and worths a try I guess. The only thing I could do is to take data person by person (lot of time as it's repeated for about 100 people) into a pdf and email it. Well any suggestion will be pretty much appreciated. Thanks

I think this is really what you want where you will

a) have a list of reports to choose from and
b) have a list of people to send each report to

I hope this is helpful and is what you are looking for.

It's an interesting sample, but it doesn't seem to provide solution to my main question. Is it possible to automatically split a big report to each salesman and save them using their names? And something else... Is it possible to email a report in an snp format? I tried but didn't have any luck.

Yes it is possible to achieve this. The link below will give you a better idea of how this is done where you basically take sections of the report and say which sales people should receive which sections / pages of the report.

This link is from the same site as the sample I posted above and is where I learned a lot of what I know regarding emailing in access. It is a very useful site.

Email sections of a report to multiple recipients

If you want to send the report in snp format, the usual method of doing this is with send object

DoCmd.SendObject [ObjectType],[ObjectName],[OutputFormat]

Where output format is snp, however you will need a little more than this to do what you require for sending sections of a report to multiple recipients but if you read through the link above that should set you off on the right track.

well i tried to use the code with my project but it doesn't seem to work. Except that I get an error message that an object is required at lblStatus.Caption = "Email disconnected". Can u understand what is going wrong?
