SQLExpress and ADP

I'm trying to use ADP as front-end and SQLExpress as back-end.
The tables importation worked well but I can't make queries:
I receive a msg telling that my MS Office version is not compatible with SQLExpress.
My MS Office version is 2003, my Windows is Win XP Pro SP2.
Any ideia?
