Statistics on a Report

I am developing a safety mishap database and this program is very statistics oriented. There are mulitiple factors all defined and catogorized which makes creating tables simple, all of which have dropdowns for input. I have the report grouped by office and I am trying to do a count or dcount in the footer of this group to show it's stats. I can't seem to get it to go. Is this the best way? Is there a query I can set up? I really don't want to hard code a report as it becomes too limited. So . . .

Any Ideas would be great, Thanks.

It would be best to calculate it in the report.

Posting an example would be good for us to look at but if not then group on the footor for the Office.
