I have an application that uses the Docmd.SendObject Method to send automatically emails when certain criteria is met.

These are the arguments
DoCmd.SendObject [objecttype][, objectname][, outputformat][, to][, cc][, bcc][, subject][, messagetext][, editmessage][, templatefile]

The editmessage argument, either true or false, controls whether the email can be modified or not prior to "sending". My problem is that I want to send the email without this screen being shown.

I am trapping certain scenarios within the application and want to alert someone, via email, that the scenario has occurred. However I want to do it without the pop up screen that asks whether to "Send" or "Do Not Send".

Does anyone know if there is way to get around this?
The app is in MSaccess 97 and MS 2003.
Thanks in advance.

No easy way to do it unless you are using Office 2007.

Search the forum for CDO, this allows you to send email directly without using an external app.
