Hi all,

I don't know if anyone has come accross this before. I've been using Steve Lebans Calendar control (available here: http://www.lebans.com/monthcalendar.htm ) for several database application I've built.

I only noticed recently, that after I've selected a date range, by highlighting the desired date, e.g. from 1 August 2007 to 7 August 2007, if I then use the navigation buttons to scroll from month to month, the same number of days is highlighted but for the next month. E.g. clicking the right navigation button will highlight 1 Sep 07 to 7 Sep 07. Click again, I see 1 Oct 07 to 7 Oct 07 highlighted.

Now this has no effect on the dates that are entered into my text fields on the form, which is probably why I haven't noticed it ealier. But could be a bit confusing to the user.

Is this a possible bug with Steve Lebans API Calendar? (I'm using Version 2.05)

Or maybe I'm doing something wrong in my coding. I notice the same problem with my other applications.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or just an artefact of the design. I notice the same thing happens with my implementation but I assumed it was just a limitation of the calendar. I set up my code to use either a single date returned by the calendar as the start/end of a time period (depending on which text box was clicked) or a user selected range to set both start and end dates in the text boxes. I also make sure the calendar is set to use single-click to select dates so that the user cannot use the calendar navigation buttons in mid-selection.

Unfortunately, Stephen Lebans has stopped supported the month calendar because Access 2007 has equivalent functionality built-in (or at least that is what he told me in an email).

Thankyou Craig. I might try some of those alternatives.

I don't blame Stephen Leban for not supporting the Calendar. When you create something so useful, and you do it for free, to then offer support for free aswell, I'm sure can be quite taxing on your time. I think that is the great thing about forums. Everyone contributes a little, but the whole community can benefit.
