Hi

i'm currently a design engineer for a company but they have assigned a project for starting a simple stock control style database. the requirements are

entering a part number and the database will tell where they are stored eg shelf A1 and then allow a qty change. hopefully this will be done by a barcode scanner in the near future.


ive very limited skill of access i done a module in college about ten years ago so if anyone can help

Best bet is to use a template or even the NorthWind DB...it does all that and more and you can alter it. It is how most of us, myself anyways, learned how things are done.

I'm not sure such an animal really exists.
