Can anyone help please , Im only a basic user of Access and Im trying to develop a program for my small busness so that I can keep a track of stock in and out of the shop and im having trouble with stock coming in, have a form with a sub form...main form is for the company at the time bringing in the stock and the subform for the stock name and quantity, how do I get it to say if there are 50 of one product and I add another 20 of the same do I get it to update and then invoice it out so it takes the number of stock of therefore giving me a stock take total.

Please any ideas would be appreciated and by the way im only doing this in Access not visual basic.

I am building a simular database, the way I did it was I had a table for stock items, name, price,,etc and a table for stock amount joined by stockID
When I produced a invoice I ran a query totalling the stock amount for whatever stock I wanted.
