Strange Excel Memo Field Truncating Issue

I have a strange issue where im importing an excel using docmd.transferspreadsheet. I have a memo field which is importing fine and is not being truncated but I have another which is being truncated every time. The destination field is set to memo and the top cell in the excel is over 255 chars yet it still truncates. The other column does not truncate for some reason.

Cant see what im missing here. :banghead:

I recall that specials characters causes transferspreadsheet to truncate a column.

Are you exporting a query and, if so, does that query have criteria on it? If the answer is yes then you must change your query. You would need to do it in two parts. The first part is you build the query without the memo field and the criteria on it. Then you create a new query and place that first query in it, add the original table with the memo field, link the PK field(s) and then export THAT query instead.

I was told, rightly so, by my co-worker when I first started here, about that.
