Hi am slightly confused as to why this keeps happening, and wondered if anyone else has experienced a similar problem???

Whenever I make e.g a record in my orders form, if I was to open a query which displayed fields I have just added to or edited (via a button on that form) I find the query is not updated. If I scroll to the next record and scroll back ..then open the query..it will be up to date and complete!!! This alsohappens also by not showing the last field I have completed on my form until I have scrolled..

I know its not a big problem..but it’s very annoying and could cause panic to certain users……!!!

Thanks in Advance

It might be that if you still have the form open then the recordset is still bound to the table and may have to be closed (the form, that is) to allow it to update properly.

The record will not save until you manually save it, move to another record or move between the main form and a sub form. In your code to call the query you could put in

DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord

which would save the record.
