Hi, all -

I just changed an mdw from a distance (be sending it via email and accessing via WebEx. The reason for this is the users are on Access 2010 which doesn't allow for access to user level security even though it opens the mdb file.

What's happening is that when I log on with different user names and passwords through WebEx (taking control of the other's desktop), the logons work. When they try doing it themselves, it doesn't work. THey get "invalid such and such".

We are using the exact same short cut but it works for me but not for them.

I have no idea about this and why this would be.

It's important to get the mdw file to work for THEM!

Any ideas??

What matters is whether their database file is from before 2007. Otherwise, MDW has no particular meaning anyway.

It has been so long since I've played with MDW files that I've forgotten the details, but as I recall there is a step to be taken to assure that the user is using the shared MDW and not their private MDW, which would always make them Admin user. I wonder if your WebEx bypasses the trick that points to the shared MDW?
