What can you do with reports besides print them and export them to Word and Excel? Is there any way to send a report to someone who doesn't have Access on their machine? Is there any tie-in with Adobe to create PDF's of Access reports?

Many thanks,
Andreas

You can use the snapshot viewer. The snapshot viewer takes a pictrue of your report and you can send it as an email and they don't have to have access :)

Really? Where's the snapshot viewer? I'm not familiar with that item.

And thanks for replying.

Also, in case your curious, the full version of Adobe comes with something called distiller. Once your report is in print preview mode, you select print and choose Distiller instead of a printer. It then converts everything automatically and works perfectly!

I've had problems with snapshot in the past - even people with Access couldn't view them! There is a way to send an executeable along with the report to make it self install - but I never looked into it because I had the Adobe option.

Hope that helps some!

The SnapShot Viewer does have to be installed on every machine that needs to view them as it is an add on to Access. I have used it a lot and have not had any problems. I would look into the self install though or have your MIS department do the install remotely. You can also create a command button to automatically insert the snapshot into an email message which saves time switching in and out of apps.
