Hello

I've been up all night creating a wonderful set of forms when i suddenly spy the tab control. What is this i wonder, wouldn't it be just the thing to tidy up the 5 subforms i have in my main form ( that work perfectly by the way). Rather than mess up my forms i make a copy of the main form and then 1 sub form. I insert a tab control and insert the sub form into the first page which works fine! Lawks a lordy this is great! So i make a copy of another sub form and insert that onto page2. This time however i get all the records from the table this is linked to rather than those specifically for the client on the master form. I guess that the link has somehow come unstuck. I check the properties for the master and child link and yes there empty.
So i try to recreate the link.
However i get the message. "The expression you have entered refers to an object that is closed or doesn't exist"

What does this mean? How can i reset the link??

Sleep depravation does funny things to people. Please help me before i do something my computer regrets.

The link will be the same as for the original Main/Sub setup - except that you'll have given the 'new' main form a different name.

Hello

One side effect of said sleep depravation is the tendancy to talk crap. The answer is you need to create the sub form again(i.e make a copy give it a new name) then you get the wizard asking you for the link when you enter insert into the tab. I must have done this for the first subform but the second i just inserted the origonal sub form. Oh well i can go to bed happy.:p  :o
