Sub Form Question

I have a form which has 2 subforms planted on it.

When I change a record on the main form, it should kick in an update on the subform, but doesnt.

The subform and the main form are not linked in any way as the control that triggers the update is unbound

Any suggestions please?

Subform

Normally the tables that are represented on the main form and the subform are related one-to-many, for instance on an ID Key.
Then , go to the properties of the subform go to the Data tab and set the link master/child fields correctly. After that the records on the subform are related to the one on the main form, when you scroll through the main form, the records on the subform change accordingly.

If you try do get it done some other way, it may complicate things unneccessarely.

subform another issue

me too I have a question related to subforms.
I have linked the main form and the subform by a one-to many relationship and everything works fine.
me question is.
I want to hide the subform when I simply open the main form which has a chech box. When I check this check box I want the subform to open.

Morever, I need to know how can I make a search everytime my primary key is written in its respective field, that means that if this key exists in the db when I fulfill this key the record related to it comes automatically.
