Sub Forms

Can I have two subforms on one main form?

I've created a form which includes one subform (at the moment). however when I close and re-open it - it goes pear shaped!!

Table containing Personnel Records with unique Personnel ID.

The idea is to enter Training details on to the sub-form linking the two with the Personnel ID. At the moment there is only details for one person in the Training table. (Mr Gibson)

When the form is closed and re-opened Mr Gibsons details remain there and will not move even when trying to view another Personnel record.

Thanks in anticipation

Yes you can - but they will both have to be linked to the same RecordSource of the main form if you want them to do anything.

Linked to the same recordsource? No they don't. One form can link to the main form. The other form (subSubForm) can link to the original subForm. They need not both link to the main form.

I stand corrected.

Cheers Jon, subforms have never been my forte...

The more I learn the less I know...

Set the subform Master and Child Link properties and requery each time any Link used on a subform is modified. It works great.

The referencing gets tedius. Access 97 allowed liberal use of the expression builder in VBA code to build the requery statements. However, Access 2002 doesn't.
