Sub reports and parameter values

Hi

I am running a database that among other things, records the category sales of 12 charity shops. The categories are things like Ladies clothes, Men clothes, Kids clothes etc. I have a separate report for each category (about 10 reports in all). In each report each of the 12 shops are listed and the total they sold of one category for the month.

I don't really want to have to open 10 reports for each category and print them individually, i would like to put all the reports into one and print the lot in one hit. The problem i am having is this: For each of the reports i use a date parameter to filter out the records i want. So if i want only Octobers figures i enter October and the year and if November....., well you get the idea.

Trouble is when i tried to shove all the reports into one big report it appears to ask me the date twice for each sub report which is not very convenient. Any way around this??

Please be gentle i am a complete thicko when it comes to Access terminology and coding.
