Ok, I'm new here and I've searched through the forums and found similar questions asked but no one ever seems to have an answer. I've also looked on other forums and still no solution. So here goes...

I have a tab control with several tabs. On half of these tabs are subforms and the other tabs just have text boxes. When you click the any of the tabs, the entire tab control shifts to the bottom of the screen. The user would have to manually scroll up to continue inputting data.

I added a .gotopage method to the tab control and that fixed the problem in that when you click on a tabbed page, the page is positioned correctly on the screen. However, if I click on a tabbed page which contains a subform, I now get a VB error which says invalid page number argument.

If anyone has experienced this or knows a fix, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

thanks Ruralguy but the movesize moves the entire form to a certain position.

I have 4 page buttons in the footer of the main form which navigates correctly to each page. On pages 2-4 I have tab controls with itself contains about 5 pages. When I click the page buttons in the footer, the form correctly navigates to each page. When I click each tabbed page, I can correcly navigate to each page within the tab control. HOWEVER, when I click to a page which contains a subform, the tab control shifts downward towards the bottom of the screen. The form itself remains positioned correctly. If I add the gotopage method to the tab control itself, again navigation between the tabs is correct, but now I get a VB page error argument when I click on a tabbed page which contains a subform.

Only the tabbed pages within a tab control which contains a subform is not behaving correctly.

Any other suggestions, ruralguy?

I have not used Paged forms before but I have a feeling it is a placement and size problem which is visual in nature. I think Access believes, wrongly, that you can't see something and it trying to make the adjustment. When I had that sort of problem with SubForms on a tab control I had to keep playing around with the size of the SubFormControl (not the subform) and where I had it located on the tab. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

Just a suggestion, are you using tab controls. If you are on a field on the 1st page and click a tab to go to another, and that one has a tab control set which just happens to be at the bottom of your page, it will jump to that control....??? Check the tab controls???

thanks to all who responded. I can't fix this. No matter where I click from on the tab control, the tab control shifts downward, not off the viewing area but enough so that basically only the tab names are visible. I then have to scroll up to see the entire tab control. Is there a method or property which could reset the position of the tab control whenver it is clicked?
