subForm recordset

I have a form with two subforms.

Pick a record in the form and subform1 shows some options. Pick one of those and subform2 shows more options, or sometimes none.

I want to create a button that does different things dependent on whether there are any records in subform2.

How can I reference the recordset of subform 2.

I have tried :

Set rs = [subform2].Form.RecordsetClone

If rs.RecordCount = 0 Then...


But that doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

i think you're just missing the main form name:
Set rs = MainForm![subform2].Form.RecordsetClone

Nope.

It just comes up "Object required".

Set rs = MainForm![subform2].Form.RecordsetClone

Got there in the end:

Set rs = Forms.MainForm![subform2].Form.RecordsetClone

Of course, now it seems so damned obvious...
