I have a form with student's names and I have a sub form in it
with their grade in a particular subject
How can I call up just the last entry

I assume the subform is now being fed by a table or query where all the students' entries are shown. Use a saved totals query using first or last, min or max (whatever works to get the last student entry) to feed the subform. That will get the query to show the last entry, but to get it to show the last entry for a particular student, reference the student name or ID in the mainform from the query itself.

Thanks but when I do what you suggested, I get all the entries
