submit button vb code

if anyone could help me please.
i'm using a pop up form to enter data to tables in a main form. i have all the other codes work out, but i can't get this one....its bugging me!!
i want to be able to save the data in the main form by using a button in the pop up form. or i'd be quite happy if i could just "goto new record" in the main form by pressing the pop up form button.
i think its quite simple....i just can't work it out.

as an extension to this....does anyone know whether it is possible to add multiple records in the pop up form to the main form? i think it might be related to the question above.

its okay...i've worked out that i was using the right code before but just referencing it wrong.
in case you wanted to know:

Form![NameofForm].SetFocus
docmd.gotoRecord,,acnewrecord
