Subreport making my main report expand

When I add a subreport in the report footer, it adds space between each record on the main report. I can't figure out why this is happening or how to fix it. Without the subport my report is 10 pages, with the sub, it's 14. The subreport itself is only a few records long. Help please

One thing to check are the properties of the section containing the subreport
In particular, set Force New Page to None

I checked and it is set to none.

I did that, and made sure my sub report is also set to can shrink..didn't work.

I assume you've also checked each section of the report & any grouping for the same things?

If none of these fix it, suggest you upload the relevant parts of your database - report/subreport together with tables/queries used for record source for each

I did check each part. I will have to upload later. I am pressed for time at the moment. Thanks
