subreport needs to "grow"

Have a subreport at the bottom of a report. This subreport can be 1 to 10 line items long. I need the subreport to be able to size accordingly. Any help?

Set the Can Grow property for the subreport to Yes.

Can Grow is not a property for this subreport unless I don't know where to look. I am using Office2000.

It's on the main report's property sheet and not the sub.

Hi Skelley

You need to be in the Main Report - Design View. Your subreport is therefore one of many controla on the design page. Select the subform by clicking on it only once and go to the Properties.

On the Format tab Can Grow is the second choice - on the All tab it is the 6th choice.

Thanks but there is no "Can Grow" in the properties of the subreport. My 6th choice in the All Tab is Caption. My 2nd choice in the Format Tab is Page Header. Can you still advise?

Hi Skelley

You are not looking in the right place. You are within the subreport to get the values you have described - close the subreport and view it as a control (a box) on your main report. You have to go in through the main report, but without opening up the subreport (hence the single-click in my posting above).
