Suggestions for AWF homepage + non-forum pages

Now that we have the forums all fresh and new, what should we do with the homepage of this site? Currently, it is built with an old Wordpress setup. Any suggestions on what the root part of the site should contain? I am not really referring to just the homepage, but all the Wordpress parts of the site.

@AccessBlaster I largely agree with you.. It is way out of date and has no useful purpose. I have considered having a RSS feed listing the most recent threads on the front page, or hot threads or threads of the week, or something along those lines.
