I have a list in a form which has been generated using a query. I would like to add a box at the bottom of this list which sums the contents of the list.

I've created a button i press that cycles through different lists, and I would like the total at the bottom to update every time I choose a new list. Is this possible?

What is the source of the lists on the form?

Hi dcx693,

Well the list I was trying to sum has since been modified due to some really good help I got through these forums.

The help I got was in a post called "add remove buttons". The person who helped me, Tiro Cupidus sent me an example file called drumscables.zip. This is now the template for what I'm using.

If you get a chance to look at it, there are two lists of cables, the first having unallocated cables, and the second having the cables allocated by drum number. I would first like to add a second column to each list showing the cable length also. I then wish to sum these lengths to give the total length of unallocated cables shown in one corner, and the total length of cables for a given drum number in the other corner.

I'm sorry I'm quite the novice when it comes to Access, so I hope I've answered the question correctly!! :-)

Thanks heaps for your reply.

ps: I've attached a MS paint picture showing what I mean.
