Hi can someone pls tell me how i can open a form as a subform in a switchboard rather than as a form in a new window.

I have a switchboard with about three options.... each of those again open into other switchboards with two - three options... when i click an option i want the form to open as a subform in the switchboard.

I'm not good with VB etc so if someone has an easy foolproof solution please help!!!!!

Have you considered using Access's "Tab Control"? This way, you can have a Tab control with as many pages as you need. You can then set the page's visible property to on/off depending on what tab page you need.

thanks i did think about the tab control, but the trouble is one of the forms is based on a parameter query.. if i place that form as a tabbed subform, then when the main form loads it asks me for a parameter value. I want that particular form to open only when the user selects that option... this works only using a switchboard...

I need to open the forms as a subform in the switchboard itself. I am basically trying to create something like the switchboard available at the following website:

(the download version 2.1)

Well you could always try purchasing the said Switchboard ;-)

I don't think there is an easy way to achieve what you want without using a fair bit of VBA.

With regard to your parameter value, can you set a default one for when the form opens, but the give the user the option to change this if they need it?

IF u cud it wud be real cool ........... been breaking ma head over this! :(
