I know that the order of the records in the db shouldn't matter, but I am curious... Why, when I add records through a form in Add mode do they add to the top of the db rather than the bottom. Is there a setting or switch someplace that I am not aware off? Is it just the way it works through the switchboard?

Shot in the dark...
I am presuming you are adding records to a table not a db... which lies in your db... Alas if you have autonumber as your id selector, you should be able to conrol this in the form and order by any field you want every time you move around on your switchboard... Ascending or Descending...
When you open your form, on properties, Under the Data tab. Order By tblXXX.??? Asc or Desc;
This should work....
