Access 2010. I've created my switchboard, but I just need someone to slap the back of my head when creating a switchboard FORM. Do I do this manually? Linking command buttons, option labels, etc.? If you could just point me in the right direction to get me started. Thanks!

If you are using the actual Switchboard in Access you need to let IT create the form by using the Switchboard manager. Otherwise you really aren't using the Switchboard functionality, just a form you created and need to add buttons to and handle the clicks etc.

The Switchboard Manager will lead you on. To get there, I don't have 2010 in front of me so I am not sure where it is but you can bring it up by going to the VBA Window and in the Immediate Window paste this and hit enter:
Docmd.RunCommand acCmdSwitchboardManager

Okay, you were right Bob. The first time around I didn't completely finish creating a switchboard and accepted at that point. I deleted the original switchboard, recreated and can now see where the form was created on it's own. Whew!

One more issue:

I have a layout (Access 2003 version) on how to expand the number of items a switchboard can hold. I'd like to add a few more items (10 instead of just 8). Is the procedure the same with 2010 as in 2003 or do you have a step by step approach for 2010? Thanks again!!!

The switchboard works the same way in 2010 as it did in 2003.

I will try what works. Thanks guys! Ran into another issue when setting the database to display the switchboard upon opening. What does this mean and how can I fix it? Thanks again! See attachment.

Disregard...I rewrote the switchboard items and it works fine.
