Switchboard Manager Code Help

Hi All,

I've just taken over responsibility for an Access Database and I have zero prior experience. The database stopped working today and despite hours of searching I cannot quite get my head around the code / error and wondered if you could help me?

The database starts with a small "Switchboard Manager" window with a single button which opens up an item called "frmLookup". Sadly when this button is clicked I receive the error:
"There was an error executing the command"

I have attempted to run a debug on the VBA code by adding a handle at the line:

Private Function HandleButtonClick(intBtn As Integer)

but when I add this handle and go back and click the button it just highlights the handle in yellow... not really telling me anything (i think!)

I'm not sure what to do so apologies if Im posting too much info but any advice at all would be great

this is the standard switchboard - its powered by a table called

switchboard items

which lets you navigate from menu to menu

look in this table

there should be a column (i forget the exact names) called

description - this is what you see on screen#
command - i think this will be 3
argument - this should be a form name

when this item is shown on the menu, you will
SEE the description

depending on the COMMAND, you will get a different effect
command 3 just opens a form

the ARGUMENT is the form name

so in your case - you are trying to open a form called "frmLookup" (maybe!)

and the error indicates that there is no such form - so maybe the argument value in the table is set wrongly.
