Does anyone know how, or have a sample of how, to create switchboard to look like MS Outlook, with the sidebar for navigating. I've seen it on some demo's so no it's possible but does this require serious coding/progrmming ?

I basically want to be able to navigate my database using buttons and switches on the LHA of the switchboard and have the various forms, reports appears on the main part of the page ?
So basically as you would choose "Inbox" within Outlook and get your inbox contents come up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not that this is a new thread but you want to look for posts on treeview controls, if you happen to see this message. I would say that this is a moderate programming task and not a novice one but with a little research I think anyone can figure it out(Sept maybe my mother in law). Gluck.

Matt:

I created a print menu for an Access program that I created for jewelers. I put the screenshots on this page:

http://www.abacusdatasolution.com/jewel_screenshots.htm

Look at the one on the bottom called "print menu"

Essentially, there are four screens that are laid on top of one another as subforms to the menu. The "buttons" on the left panel are just squares with icons in middle. When you pass the mouse over them, they become "raised", and when you click on them, they become "sunken" to look like buttons.

Then the code just hides/shows the appropriate print screen.

It's not that hard....I hope this helps.
