Syntax question - using OR in an IF statement

I'm trying to figure out the proper syntax on how to use an OR statement in the evaluation of an IF statement.

For example, I'd like to do something like this:

IF Me![Type] = 1 OR IF Me![Type] = 2 Then
....
Else
.....
End IF

Can someone please show me the proper way of writing out the IF statement?

I tried pretty much every other combination but that one.
