Tab control not appearing in form view

Apologies if this is a real newbie question!

I've never used tab controls before. When I add one to a form in design view, everything appears OK. I can add controls from the field list no problem. However, when I switch to form view, there's nothing there.

I've tried reference books, the microsoft knowledge base and searching through various forums, but no joy. Can anyone help? (Am I missing something blindingly obvious?)

the visible property is saying Yes and not NO.

I've tried switching the visible property from yes to no and back to yes, not only on the tab control, but on each page of the tab control and even on the detail section. And every combination between those I could think of, but no dice!

If you place a control out of the tab control, does it display that????

I am assuming that there is no code in the form.

Have you tried creating a new form, placing a tab control and viewing the form quickly to see what is happening.

If you have another pc with access, copy the file over to that pc and load it up and see if it is still not displaying the tab control, you may have to re-install access.

Oh dear, M8KWR. How embarassing.

I have indeed made a dire rookie mistake.
I tried your first test and found that nothing appeared - tab control or not. Went back and checked the query I was basing the form on - No recordset - which of course I should have checked ages ago...

One test record later, the control now appears in form view.
Doh!
