Tab order not working

Hi everyone,

On a form, I want to fix the tab order of the text boxes. So I go to the tab order property of the form and when it opens, it doesn't let me change the order. Can anyone help me on this?

So you have the form open in design mode and you go to Tools>Tab Order... and the Tab Order dialog opens right? Then this Tab Order form will not let you move items up and down?

Have you used the tab order dialog before (just checking to make sure you know that you have to click and drag the items into their places).

I was never able to drag the items, it never allowed me to do so but I know that's how it is supposed to work.

1. Can you make any other design modifications in the form? If not, then something else is at play here.

2. Double check and make sure that the controls have Tab Stop marked as YES, if they are all marked NO that could cause the problem you are describing.

I thought I had the same problem just now but i was using the control wrongly. Click on the box just to the left of the control name to select it. Then you can drag it up /down the Tab Order list.

Rabbie, you're right. I never clicked on that little box to the right of the controls. It does work now.
