Table Descriptions

Hi,
I do not use Access on a daily basis so I am hoping someone can help me. When I go into my table then into design view and edit my descriptions the edits are not showing up on my form. Only the original descriptions are showing up in the form.

Stacey, please don't post the same question in multiple places.

You changed your question ever so slightly and in this case it was enough to get you the correct answer. But you still keep referring to the "Description" which I believe is not what you are asking about at all. I believe you are asking about either the FieldName or the Caption. In either case. Once you have built a form, the labels of fields are not changed by changes to the FieldName or the Caption. However, any new forms you build will show the new name.

You could think of this as a good thing or a bad thing depending on whether or not you modified the labels after they were added to the form. Access doesn't propagate these changes because it doesn't really know if you changed the original label and it should not overlay your changes or if you actually want to overlay your changes. Therefore, it leaves the whole thing up to you. If you change the Caption, only you know where you want to propagate the change.
