table design for a clock card system

i'm try to create a database to record staff sign in and out times and to get reports but i cannot for the life of me get it working after many many efforts. can any one help me?

I'll give it a shot.

Some of the other gurus may correct me, but here are my thoughts:

Two tables:

TblEE:
(employee)EENumber [primary key]
FirstName
LastName
Any other relevent EE data.

TblClock:
ClockID [primary key]
EENumber [Fkey]
InTime
OutTime

The form the user sees just has a textbox for their number, an "IN" button and an "OUT" button. The two buttons write NOW() to the table.

You may also want to ad fields for 'standard' In- and Out times, so you can easily track when employees come in late, leave early, or record 'after hours', for overtime pay verification.
